MPSJ 10km Run

Anyone up for a jog? hehe!! Or more like a run... Suddenly me gung ho wanna go for it... The last time I went, I swore I would never ever go for a 10km run ever again.. That would be my first and last time... Goes to show the saying never say never is quite true... How was I to know that i would have the sudden urge...
I am still not confident I will run the whole way... No wait.. I am very sure I will not run the whole way but hopefully I can complete it within the qualifying time and get a medal.. Dun play play.. I actually did get a medal the last time I did it.. I completed the run in 1 hr and 20 minutes... But at that time i was much fitter than I am now... hmm... not so good..
Qualifying time for men is 60 mins and ladies is 75 minutes... So with less stamina and less time... What are my chances? hmm... haha!! better not think about it.. I shall just set my sight on running from lamp post to lamp post consistently.. :)
Managed to convince a few of my colleagues to run along.. they are all probably fitter than me... hopefully I wont embarassed myself by trailing way way far behind..
So who else wanna come along..? You can register with the form that is on the website http://thestar.com.my/subangjaya/
For those who doesnt wanna join can come cheer me on... Or pick me up if I totally puncture half way and cant get myself to the finish line... haha!! :D

Rest In Peace...

I was recently informed that one of the triathlete which took part in the PDIT drowned and died during the swimming event... He was a 55 year old Malay male first timer in a triathlon... It was only realized at 1.30pm as stated in the news report which was 5 hr and 30 minutes after the flag off time for the event.
I was actually shocked as the event was almost towards its end by 12.30pm.. How could it be that all officials and organizers failed to discover or realized this up to such a late stage...
The title of the news was "Basikal Lumba Petunjuk Maut" in Harian Metro... to read this article click the link http://www.hmetro.com.my/Current_News/myMetro/Monday/Setempat/20070723091659/Article/index_html
If the racing bike was indicative of the missing person, this should have been realized at a much earlier time... The average time for all the swimmers to complete the 1.5km swim was 30-45mins or so... If all the bikes were already collected except that one last one... Something should have triggered the organizers that something was amiss... It seems that no one noticed until they took count of all the participants who were returning after completion of all 3 segments of the race and found out that they were one short...
In events as such whereby there were participants of all ages and for some were their first time, more safety precautions should have been taken. There was no lifeguard available monitoring the entire stretch of sea which was marked for the swimming event. Being that the route chosen had a turning point where all swimmers with be blocked from view from the flag off point, there should have been some lifeguards stationed at certain intersections just to make sure everything is in order...
Hopefully the organizers will learn from this... Especially when it is an international event, we should portray a better side of us to the world... One that is more concerned on the safety of everyone... There were parties who tried to keep this matter under wraps but it still leaked out. It seems that, that is what we do best... Hide the truth... We should improve ourselves.. not hide what we dont want seen.... How are we to grow if we are always sheltered from the truth?

It was really an unfortunate incident and my condolences to the family of the deceased. May he rest in peace.

Port Dickson International Triathlon

22 July 2007, Sunday - It was the second day of the Port Dickson International Triathlon 2007 which was also a leg in the Asian Cup Series. Due to bad weather the Elite team (participants of the Asian Cup Series) and the Olympic distance team were flagged off together instead of the Elite team racing the day before as scheduled...

Sadly, I woke up at 5.30 am... :( just to be there on time to watch the entire event... Isuzu was the Official Car for the entire event and just so happen, Yin and Kannan were participating... So I became a busy busy and joined along... It was kinda cool since we were the sponsors, we could get into all the areas which were restricted only to participants.. Could see them all getting their numbers written on their bodies.... then went right next to the flag off area by the sea for the first event which was a 1.5km swim in the chilly choppy sea... It was not something I would want to get into... So off they went at 8.00 am with all the participants flagged off in 4 waves of 3 minutes intervals... The first one out of the water was Kimberly Yap our National Triathlete... She did it in 20 minutes I think... Fuiyoo..wat a feat... There were all sort of participants.. Male, female, young, old, skinny and fat.... The only thing they had in common is the goal of finishing the entire race...
So once out of the water came the cycling... 40km distance on an uphill and downhill road... not too steep but plenty of ups and downs... Again we were lucky enough to be able to drive our car alongside the race itself... Some were actually quite relaxed and heppi.. even posed for our cameras... The Elite team, being elite was really head and shoulders above everyone else... when everyone was heading towards the midway mark to u-turn, they were already on their way back...
Finally came the final leg... which was the 10km run.... Just watching them I was getting tired... haha!!! Phew...!! Good thing I was in the car.. It wasnt so good for them since it started raining quite heavily and those who were late were the ones worst off coz they had to endure the rain the entire way.... poor them...
And so the race ended.... a guy named Hsieh from Hong Kong came in first place for the male category which Kimberly Yap can in first for the female category... Yin and Kannan both finished the race... Yaay!! i think Yin even beat her own record.. the last time she did it, she took 2 hrs 59 mins but this time round she took 2 hrs and 39 mins... fuiyoo!! She is powderful...
But the biggest news of the day was what my MD said.. He was thinking to sponsor this event long term if the event was successful and if so he said we needed to form an Isuzu Team... Aiyo... cham... he was looking at Han Kee, Joseph and me while saying this and said "You all can...".. haha!! die lor.. if we really have to, I will be so Isuzu-fied... weekdays and weekends will be filled with Isuzu..anyone wanna join me training? hehe... Han Kee and Joseph both said they will use butterfly stroke throughout the swimming leg... haha!!! fuiyoo!!! dun play play...
Kondo-san, Me and Joseph.... :) behind us is the flagged off for the first leg; swimming...
Yin & I.... she just finished the race... looks as if she hasnt even begun huh? Not tired at all... Paiseh... I look also tired already...hahah!!!

Yin in action as she kicks off the second leg : cycling... Gaya.... haha!!

Well that is all I have about the race... Overall a fun outing... hehe!! Who knows, next year I will blog about myself in the race... ;)

Just My luck... :(

I got into another accident... yes yes.. I just had one not long ago... yes yes it is my new swift again... I think I really got to buy a whole pamelo tree, pluck all its leaves and soak in them for 24 hours...
I am just so sad... again this was caused by someone doing something illegal and I got the brunt of it... :( This time I was at the road behind True Fitness in Hartamas, I was innocently swerving into a one way street lane and down comes this motorcycle coming the opposite direction at quite a high speed I might add towards me.. I managed to stop but the idiot didnt.... He knocked into my car and was so nonchalant about it... as if it was my fault... he didnt fall off and his bike was not damaged but unfortunately my car was in bad shaped... he knocked a hole into my front bumper.. I can just imagine how much I need to fork out to replace that.. a few thousand I think being this part is from Japan... :(
The to make it worse.. the guy just stood there as if nothing was wrong... and he asked.. you wanna report or you wanna settle.. I told him I didnt know how much it would cost to replace the bumper.... He said to report he will have to pay RM300... so if wanna settle he will pay me only Rm250... my God.. for an entire bumper you think RM250 enough? you must be out of your mind.. So I said I wanted to report. He say report then report la... Told me to take down his number and started driving off.. When I asked for his name he refused to give it and sped off... Lousy Asshole...
So I reported the case.... Had to go to Jalan Bandar which I didnt even know about previously... Then when they ran the motorcycle's number through the system, it turns out that the motor belonged to a Malay guy instead of a Chinese guy which banged into me... Things begin to suck even more after this.. the guy says that either the number plate is stolen or the motor was sold without a change of name... So possibility of it having insurance is a question mark... shit! and then the number was a Malacca number and they needed time to investigate the owner over.. plus he said that Malacca's address are never fully correct.. Double Shit!! So now I am faced with the possibility of not being able to claim and forking it out of my own pocket... Shit Shit Shit!!
I am really wishing that motorcycle gets stricken by some weird incurable disease which will put him in excruciating pain but will not kill him... and slowly he will just rot to his death... I just cant stand all these irresposible ppl who put others in trouble and feel no remorse about it..
You know what is worse? All the policemen in the station automatically assumes that the fault was mine when I said I had an accident involving a motorcycle.. as if they are such great innocent ppl whom us car owners bully.. They keep asking me..the motorcyclist is injured or not? Did he fall down? What is the condition of the motor... Jeez... Hey!! He was the one not following the rules and I was the one which got innocently banged into... :( They only took my side when they read the full report.. .No way in hell could it have possibly been my fault...
Then I went through the whole condescending look again when I got the photo of my car taken... I think he didnt even try to take a proper shot assuming I was at wrong... he didnt even wanna tell me properly when I can get the photos... Just asked me to ask the counter when I came to collect the report... But the officer who was in charge of my case told me to ask the photographer when so that i could collect both together rather than one at a time... See la our wonderful police officers... This is where I would like to commend the officer Jamaludin B Mohd for being so kind...
So now, for the big reveal.... the motor's registration number.. Please take note.. and if you see him get his details and if he does not co-operate... maime him!!! give me 2 knees in the balls and 2 tight slaps across the face and bend all his fingers backward.... Yes, I am cruel so dun cross me... :P

MAS 2594
Currently, I am a sitting duck.. I need to wait for some sort of closure from the police investigation... Hopefully I can claim but even if not so then I would just have to repair my car at my own cost... :( So please hunt the guys down for me...... :(

ALL NEW ISUZU D-MAX

12 July 2007, Thursday - Isuzu Malaysia Sdn Bhd launches its all new Isuzu D-Max
Oops.. a bit late again.. 5 days late.. haha!! anyway..better late than never.. Dun be deceived just because it is a pick-up...It is really very nice to drive.. especially when you are towering over others and it is just so powerful... one tap on the pedal and it responses immediately.... Surprising for a girl huh? But I really really love driving the D-max...

Our latest edition comes with projector headlamps which are further and more focus than normal multi reflector headlamps.... and we also got a cool electroluminescent meter cluster which just screams attention when you turn the ignition to on.. The needles will swoop from zero to 220 before returning back to zero... just for that sporty effect and it illuminates bright blue... The Instrument panel has been upgraded for a more sleek look with darker shades complemented by silver panelings.... The seats are much more plush as compared to the predecessor....

But the ultimate change in this babe is the engine... We have introduced our i-TEQ Ddi Super Commonrail into the 3.0L model and boy can this car go... Not only is there more power with less noise but because of it's flat torque curve which actually hits peak at 1200 rpm and holds it till 3000 rpm, we actually get more on hand power and a much earlier stage and we continually get it until it hits a much higher rpm... talk about overtaking... the D-max beats them hands down... :D

And with all these additions, we still manage to improve fuel efficiency by 19%... impressive? Most definitely... Even when driving up to a speed of 160km/hr it still uses less fuel than my car at normal speed....Our previous record was from KL - Sungai Petani - Johor - KL a total of 1440km in less than one tank!! No... it is not because we got a huge fuel tank as everyone's first presumption is.. our tank is a normal 76 litres tank which cost bout RM120 to fill up a full tank!! If I remembered correctly, we only used 63litres for the entire trip which would make it about 7 cents/km.. but that was on our 2.5L version... now the new 3.0L i-TEQ Super Commonrail is to be put to the test... The result shall be update once I get it... :)

We had our launch at The Curve that day and we had fun.. the whole company was involved... Let me post some random photos I took... or more like ppl took of me and my colleagues.. ;)

So if you want to know what it feels like behind the wheels of an ISUZU D-MAX, then go for a test drive... For more details, check out our website http://www.isuzu.net.my/

Up Bukit Tabor once again...7 July 2007

I dun know why but I am alwiz late in blogging my stuff.. think it has to do with using other ppl's camera as well as my own so there is alwiz some missing photos which I wanted to blog with as well so I just wait la... So if news are a bit delayed, bear with me...

Well this is the reason why I did not blog this earlier...

Isnt this photo worth the wait? Breathtaking view and me soaking up everything right at the peak..... here is another shot....

It was actually not right up the peak yet but this was the spot with the fantastic view... It was actually quite precarious for me to sit on top of that rock... I was at the edge of the hill and any wrong move and I would have fallen to my death (or at least major injury).... but check out the view....
Picture was against the light so not that clear but it really was beautiful... and to think this is actually in KL... surprising huh? This is actually the dam somewhere in the Taman Melawati area...

Here is some of those who went up as well... Cool pictures huh?

Wanna know how it looks like right up at the peak? Everything was green and tiny.. the trees were short...plants were a bit dry...must have not rained in quite some time... My previous time up the moss was so so so green.... but it was still a nice climb....

Here are some random photos....

Blue Ferns.. Cool huh?
Me hanging off a cliff... nolar..actually trying to climb over...
Cheese abseiling down with some really untrustworthy rope....
Some yellow flower that got caught in my hair.. Jeez my hair is SO red!!
So back to the climb... there were 10 of us going up but in the end we split into 2... 5 of us including me wanted to be a bit more adventurous and take another route which was not so well marked or used... we nearly got lost when we came to a point which was totally not marked and none of the directions looked as if it has been used before... luckily we had a couple of experienced guys with us who went down each side to check out for a connecting route.. luckily we found one.. :)
Then after coming down somemore, we entered a Durian farm... was so tempted to pluck them and have a small picnic.... haha!! then we came across rambutans.... and cempedak... wah... really hungry already.... by the time we came out, we were wondering which part of the hill was this...
We stopped a car passing by to ask for some directions... we got scolded.. they thought we were students from a college nearby (wah...so nice to think we look so young!! hehe) and apparently some student were lost up the hill before and a search party had to be sent out... he started pecturing us and saying he wanted to look for our Dean and charge us for a guide.. refuse to listen when we said we were not lost.. we had a fantastic navigation unit with us which Cheese brought... Cheese is just so so so well equipped.. Wait till you hear what we did next... haha!!
So we got ourselves back to the foot of the hill where we started our climb.. decided to have a picnic by the river nearby... Cheese actually has a mini gas burner with all utensils equipped ready for us to cook..he even brought pre-pack dried food meant for actual camping.. so we boil some water and cooked our meal.. (which was just adding hot water and waiting for 10 minutes...) how convenient.... brilliant idea of whoever who created that... haha!! Guess what we had? For the main course, we had Chicken Teriyaki with Rice and dessert was blueberry cheesecake with graham crackers I might add... and to end it off, we had some English Tea... talk about a picnic huh? hahah!! So all in all it was a fun outing!!! :D

Going Red!!!

Just had my haircut last Sunday... was feeling a bit frisky, decided to highlight as well... a few weeks back I caught sight of this particular colour which I tot was real cool... It was Red... not orangy red but a dark red... dunno why but I liked it...
So as usual, got myself to Fusion (KLCC), looked for my favourite stylist; Nigel. (If you are looking for a great short do, look for him. Price might be on the high side but definitely worth it...) and plonked my butt on the seat...

I never needed to tell him what do to.. he just cuts whatever style he wants and it turns out great!! I suppose it helps when I dun dictate... I mean what do you think you will get if you say "trim a bit only ya, i want my fringe this way, I want the back this way, i want it layered this way..." so at the end of the day what do you get? Your way la.. ugly or not it was your choice...

For me, from the first day I got my haircut from him, it was always based on trust. I always tell him, cut whichever style you think will look good on me. The only thing I do tell is whether i am planning to keep the length or not. So far he has yet to fail me yet (touch wood)... and every cut is a different style.

So, back to the red hair... check the pictures out... :D

Right Side View

Left Side View

Dont think it is obvious enough? Trust me it is.... The lighting is playing it down. Let me show you one more pix.. with flash... Ready?

Now look at that.... aint that red enough? haha!! I am still trying to get used to the colour.. So far feedback has been positive? Anyone want to comment further?

Why red? Coz I have tried almost every other colour... I even had 3 colours in 1 hairdo..once.. only once... thank God my boss is Japanese... haha!! if not he would have flipped... Ironically when he saw the 3 colours he says he is more used to seeing girls with such hair rather than full black... Goes to show how many Japanese girls left in Japan has their own natural hair colour huh? Well, boss has been outstation the whole week so he hasnt seen my new hair..shall see what his reaction is... :D

Next up....? Purple.... yeap...you read it right... purple...!!! those deep dark purple that only shows when the light is directly shining upon it... but that would have to wait for quite some time.. I usually grow out the old colour before colouring my hair again.. just so that i dun damage it too much.... So we shall wait and see....
