In a nut(Shell)...

It's been exactly 8 days in Shell now...

I have went through 8 conference call trainings, uncountable on-line trainings and much stress over my access and smart card... Other than that, I am good... hahah!! Oh not forgetting an away trip to PD to get to know the rest of the team under the same function group... :D

A few interesting facts on Shell:

1. You will get fired if you dont wear your seatbelt while driving...
2. You will also get fired if you talk on the phone (regardless of a handsfree) while you are driving...
3. You will also get fired if you drive faster than 15km/hr within the compounds...
4. You will be investigated if you fall down the stairs.... (or have any other minor accidents)

Of course there is also the fun stuff available here...

1. An in house gym with scheduled classes
2. A games room with pool, table tennis, foosball and board games
3. A seriously active sports and recreational club
4. Many other clubs and activities

My favourite part bout Shell right now is the flexi hours... No more counting minutes just to prevent having to go to my boss with the lateness summary sheet!! Yaaay!!! *clap hands* hehe!!

So that's it for now... will see what else I can update as the days goes by...hehe!!

Do you get fired if you have use you mobile phones on the compound?

Erm... not if I am not in the car.
We were actually told that if our phone is ringing while we drive and we really need to pick it up, we need to:

1. Pull the car over
2. Turn off the engine
3. Get out of the car
4. Answer the call

Which essentially means dont bother by the time you do all that, the call would have ended... haha!

We cannot be caught holding a phone while we are in the car. Serious huh?

No, I meant on the compound? Like how you're suppose to switch off mobile phones in the petrol stations.

Oh... no no... we are allowed to talk on the phone on the compound..

These rules are called the "Life Saving Rules" which is meant to prevent any potential risk of accidents of any sorts...
