Day half and 7...

Okay time for my next update... yes yes..it is extremely late... :( stop counting the days....

I arrived in Amsterdam from Brugge in the afternoon so there wasnt much time left to see or do much... So we just headed to the Red Light District... :) Unfortunately no photos allowed.... went window shopping...so were so so some were not so appealing and some were erm... why would anybody...hahah!

So after some window shopping we decided to pop in this place called Casa Rosso which was the supposedly more decent establishment to watch a Sex Show... :) It was damn cold outside so we gladly went in... Cost a bomb though since we paid Euro30 for the show.... It was pretty interesting with plenty of acrobatics going on...haha!! Ai Li insisted we get our money's worth so we watched til it repeated couples which was only 3 rounds... oh well... then we called it a nite...

Next day was set to be exciting...we were going to Zaanse Schans which was a little mini town with windmills and everything else unique to the Netherlands....
First up, clog making... hehe!! Here is me sitting in a giant blog which greeted us outside... inside they has a demonstration of the process which is now all using machinery so nothing great... cheh!!

Now this I found really intricate...apparently these were the type of clogs worn by brides on their wedding... the carving is really very fine...

Surrouding the place was 7 windmills which I cannot seem to get all in one shot so you shall be seeing random windmills here and there...

There was also a cheesemaking demonstration which also sold a huge variety of cheeses.... yum yum....Me likey goatcheese...:D heheh!!!

More windmills...

Some hot choco? Cute sign huh? :)

This is a cute wind thingy... when it catches the wind the little man will look like he is turning a wheel which turns the fan blades...
Cute car...there was a convoy of these cars passing by while we waiting for the bus to take us home... not too sure what models these are but they are cute....hehe!! one even looked like a bug...
So by the time we got back it was time for dinner before we went for a nite canal cruise... Did i tell you that the sun only sets at about 9pm? odd huh? So anyway, we decided to have some asian food after we found out that Hard Rock Cafe was full so we went over to this noodle shop called Wagamama.... Surprisingly the food was pretty good...expensive but good... :)
This is what I ordered.... stir fried soba with beef steak...
This was my plate after... it's obvious that it is yummy huh? hehe!!
Tori Karaage -Fried chicken... yummy too!!!
Next stop...the canal cruise.... when water is Euro 3.50 and the wine is Euro4, you order the wine...hahah!!
The guide was really fun and very knowledgable about the canals and all the structures surrounding it from history info to quirky bits on the habits of the ppl who stay on the canal...
Slowly but surely, sunset came by..... managed to get some nice shots I think... :)
It was all dark by the end of our cruise and we were beat... time to go to bed... :)
