My Pressies....

Oooh.... time for me to open my pressies... This year not as many... but all the same I am happy...hehe!! especially happy that everyone liked the pressies that I gave.... hehe!!! Let me show you mine!!! :D

Not forgetting the black flying pig which I blogged about in my birthday pressie.. that one is actually a pre-christmas pressie... heheh!!! Anyway... it was a really nice christmas... :) Thank you everyone who wished me or gave me pressies... I am truly blessed.... :)

All I want for Christmas.....

Tis the season to be jolly fa la la la la la la la laa...

Yaay!! It is christmas again... honestly this is my favourite season of the whole year... I dont know why but the christmas season just fills me up with joy.. when I go into a shopping mall.. I see the decorations and all the christmas goodies on sale.. it just puts a smile on my face... I really dont know why.... I LOVE CHRISTMAS!! hehe!!

I love shopping for christmas also... ppl think I am nuts but I like going around looking for things to buy for others... As much as I like receiving gifts... I enjoy giving them out as well... I truly believe that it is the season of giving... it doesnt have to be something big but then as long as it puts a smile on ppl's faces that is good enough...

Every christmas since midvalley has opened it's doors I have went there to take photos... Ya, a bit touristy but I cant help myself.. the decor is always so beautiful... I must commend the creative ppl behind such wonders... It is a work of art......

This year... me and my sisters we contemplating putting of the christmas tree.. at first we didnt have much presents... coz we already bought for each other our presents much earlier on.. but then a few days back I got a nicely wrapped gift.. hmm.... hehe!! got something to put under the tree liao.. then I went shopping and since there was free gift wrapping service as well I decided to wrap everything I bought... My sister did the same and lo behold... we have presents to put under the tree... hehe!! so on Saturday we set our tree up.....

Doesnt the presents look good? Well actually not all of them are ours... I spent the entire weekend and then some to make the boxes and wrap the gifts i bought for my frens... so as a pre-christmas blog I decided to showcase my work of arts... (hehe!! paiseh.. some so so only.. but still a lot of heart went into it....) I slept at 0330 for 2 consecutive days to finish all these up..amatuer at work ma... hehe!! so here goes.....

This one was fairly simple coz it came in a box....

Now this one took a lot of effort.... who would think cardboard is so hard to cut and shape... workmaship was not so good on this one.. didnt have the right tools... but in the end it came out decent I suppose... even had a spray job to add sparkles... :)

Yeap... made this cylinder box myself... initially it was meant to me a simple square one but my sis asked why not try an cylinder one.. I was up to the challenge... hehe!! did quite a nice job too!! hehe!! The item sitting in it must be happy of it's new home... :)

Now this is the reason why I took so many days and night... from cutting the paper into size... folding them and joining them... this took way a lot of effort... every box consist of 6 pcs of paper... all precisely cut and folded to come out with the perfect triangle... :) I made one for every colleague... lucky there was only 40+... or else I would have died and my fingers would have gone to heaven... hehe!!

So all in all it was a production weekend.... :) Looking forward to tonight family dinner and christmas getogether with the rest of my colleagues!!! :)

Farewell my dear fren...

Today is Amy's last day in Isuzu... she will be leaving to Jack & Jill soon (and get fat coz they have free flow of their own products during office hours.. haha!!) As a special tribute and farewell to her we all went down to Port Dickson for an overnight trip cum farewell... We rented a bungalow, had BBQ and played games all night long til 6am... damn sleepy after that... but we had loads of fun!! hehe!! It is really nice to have such a big group getogether and party the night away.... :)

You will be truly missed..... but we will meet up soon enough over weekends and dinners and such... hehe!! ;)

Rain Rain Go Away.....

Gosh!!! I was nearly stranded in Kuantan yesterday..... Luckily for my trusty Isuzu D-Max... No, this is not an advertisement.... It is a real life experience okay....
Well my trip to Pekan began on 12 Dec 2007 morning while I was driving up to Pekan, Pahang. Just before entering the East Coast Expressway I was diverted into the trunk road due to flash flood at the portion of the highway... so off I went on the trunk road driving at a snail pace of 60km/hr.... then onwards back on the highway at Temerloh and onwards to Pekan... on the stretch of road heading towards Pekan the road sides were already flooding and some houses were already knee deep but it was still no problem to proceed onwards... got to my plant safety..
Unfortunately at about 1530 hrs I was warned by everyone to go to Kuantan now!!! Coz apparently the roads were about to close at 1630 hrs. Rushed all my work and left and this was what I encountered...

Some smaller vehicles didnt even dare pass this stretch....

Look at the current of that flow...... So strong.....

What used to be dry land is now not dry anymore.....

All those roadworks to widen the road has gone to waste as the flood just got them back to square one....

This was only the beginning of it all.... I think this was at the flood's lowest point.... Already 3 spots on the Kuantan-Pekan road is flooded with water ranging from a few inches to half a feet...

Then the very next morning... I attempted to head into Pekan again... and what do I encounter?

This Wira is headed to the worshop for an overhaul i think...

This photo was only taken at the lowest point that day coz by the next day... the 3-point flood has increased to 7-point flood... the deepest going as deep as 1 meter in depth... the road was only accessible to 10 tonnes trucks and above... anything lower couldnt even pass... Can you imagine it... Even a Scania truck (those are really massive) was washed off the road into the ditch due to the heavy current...
So looking at this, there was no way I could possible get myself into Pekan... So I headed back to KL instead only to be greeted my the shocking news that the highway is closed off to light vehicles due to flood.. I was fretting... I did not want to be stuck in Kuantan until the flood subsides... So I started calling here and there to ask around about the condition of the flood on the highway and whether or not my D-max was considered a light vehicle... Luckily one of my frens managed to find out that the water was approximately 1 feet in depth and if I drove carefully it shouldnt be a problem for me...

As I approached the junction where all the vehicles was diverted... the highway patrolman insisted I divert as well... I was thinking... Shit!!... I hated all this diversion.. firstly coz the road is small the pace is slow too... and due to the massive amount of vehicles diverted it is was going to be jam packed making it very difficult to overtake.. I stopped to ask which route I was to take to get back to KL... the answer was that I should exit Temerloh upwards to Jerantut and down back to Raub and Bentong before entering Karak Highway at Lachang... me being the geographically challenged person didnt know how far that was but I was smart enough to call my fren and ask... the answer really bummed me... It will take me an additional 5 hours to drive that route and come out in Lanchang... What the F**k!!... As if everything wasnt bad enough yet but my fren advised me to brave the flood on the highway which then I just started bugging the highway patrolman "Bang, kereta ni tak boleh lalu ke? Betul ke tak boleh lalu?" and after a few repetitions he relented and said "Kalau you nak cuba, cubalah tapi banyak kereta pun pusing balik" which then I answered... "Okay, saya cuba la..." haha!! and off I went!!

Drove peacefully on the highway for quite a stretch...since most cars were diverted the road was quite empty until I approached the flood area... was getting a bit nervous coz I saw quite a few SUV turn around and head back to the diversion... As I got closer I was thinking... "Shit!! I am really going to drive throught this??!! Shit shit... quite deep hor... Shit Shit!!" haha!! this was my exact thought... and as i was queing up for my turn... my heart started pumping real hard... i was really nervous and worried.. I was thinking of so many what ifs... What if I get stuck in the middle? what if I mati engine?, what if the current is so strong it washes my car off the road?

Well, the moment of truth came and as I held on tightly to my steering I reved the throttle a bit before heading into the water... remembering my fren's advice I did not let of of the accelerator.. but as I got in... the car didnt seem to move much hovering between 10-20km/hr... that got me real worried... it wasnt as if I wasnt pushing on the accelerator.. but the car just wasnt moving.. but I continued on at the slow pace praying real hard it will be okay... and after completing the 100m stretch which felt more like 1km stretch the car finally hit more solid ground as it felt more itself already... Drove out of the water i turned back to look and I just said "That was fun!!!" haha!! I know..I am nuts... but after managing to get throught it, it really felt like an exhilarating experience which I really wanted to repeat... I was so tempted to turn back just to go through it once more.. but of course I didnt la.. hehe!! Unfortunately it was all so exciting that I forgot to snap some photos... Ooops... sorry... hehe!!

So I safety got myself back to KL.... and the very evening I was told that one of the bridges which accesses Pekan has partially collapse.. the sides have collapsed and the based was cracking so no vehicles no matter the size was allowed though....

Today... when I got into the office, my colleagues who were stationed in Pekan reported back that Pekan has been declared totally inaccessible and is now considered an island... this is how Pekan looks like now...

Latest update is that all the petrol kiosk has shut down due to inavailability go fuel... ATMs are dried up... All basic food items are sold out... This situation is getting worse by the day... and all we can do is sit down, watch and wait... it is so sad that we are not able to help in such situations... All my prayers goes out to those in Pekan... may this flood subside soon... God bless...

Here we go!!! the posting you have all been waiting for... hhahaha!! the pictures are hilarious... but I cant post them all on coz I think some of the guys(gals) will get angry.. but i could described them to you....

But first.... I am sure everyone wants to know what I went as right? Well, me and my partner after much consideration decided to go as a pair of primary school kids... hehe!! cute leh... then we started planning how to look the part....

Hehe!! the lollipop looks cute huh? So do I look like a boy? Does my partner look like a girl? hahaah!! Not really huh? But we had loads of fun....

Now to tell you the interesting bits.... We have one guy is a bikini with a shower robe over it and a shower cap who kept on pretending that he was showering with this shower loofa... haha!! so farnie.... Of course he revealed the bikini at one point of the night... then we had another who was in a pareo with just a shawl wrapped around his chest area (yes he wore a bra) and showed off his belly and hairy armpits... not forgetting he wore fishnets.... hahha!!! and whoa...we had one in a sun dress also with a bra and 2 oranges as breast.. now that was hilarious... hahaha!!! oohh..we even had one in lingerie.... haha!!! but the most unexpected and most chunted girl of them all in none other than my MD who can in a white dress with a pink wig, shades, handbag and heels to match... my Gosh... he looked gorgeous... of course my boss was not too bad also with his painted toe nails in heels, and wig... all the guys were in their make-up best... hahah!! some was so disgusting looking you would puke!! too much armpit hair on display...haha!! yucks!!!

As for the girls... well they were not so creative.... mostly just came with pants, shirts, ties and maybe to add tthe bit of macho-ness had some moustache or goatee... haha!! but the guys were in the spotlight.... they really just went all out...

Now which part of her looks like a guy? hahah!! except the chuen look la... kakaka!!! suppose to be hip hop kinda guy wor.... the breast gave her away... haha!!

But you know what? I was sad... really disappointed... I got Worst Dressed award... so not right huh? Even if I didnt win also I dont think I deserved to lose since there were girls who didnt even bother to dress up... same goes for the guy's Worst Dress award... the guy with the bikini and bath robe got it... unfair huh? Think the judges didnt really knew the guidelines or definition of best and worst dress for this theme... Maybe they got it their other way around... but anyway... shall not complain further.. at least my group won 2nd for the group performance... heheh!! got RM700 cash to split 5 ways... yippee... all investment got covered... haha!! :D

All in all it was really fun!! We danced the night away til past midnight... ;)
Shall be looking forward to next year's theme... only God knows what they will think of this time round...

I am so tempted to post those pix... but other ppl's pride is as stake.. so better not.. :(

It is official... either I am jinxed or my car is... :( 3 sides have been knocked before in the span of 8 months... Front, Right Side and now Backside.... well... there is only one side left... Which is the Left Side... hopefully it doesnt get to that... :( Everyone better pray hard... I need to give my car a "Mandi Bunga" session already... Since I had my session and it still didnt help.... Now it is my little Tomato's turn.... poor babe.... So young and so jinxed....

Quick Quick!!! I need ideas... my partner for my annual dinner says our initial idea too tame... haha!! We wanted to go as a pair of little boy and girl... complete with overalls, lollipop and water bottle... but after our pasar malam session, he feeling intimidated... hey... RM1k in at stakes... the winner wins that amount for best dress... quick quick!!! Think of something that is a pair, easy to find the clothings for and out there enough to win!!!

Loneliness...

Do you have those days when you have so much things to do, many ppl around you, meetings here and there and yet you feel alone? I am having one of those days... :( or at least one of those evenings....
It all began when we were suppose to have a getogether with my colleagues for a fellow colleague's birthday... as usual it is a clubbing session which was decided to begin at 2200 hrs... On a norm there will be a few colleagues who will just hang around then have dinner today then go directly but today everyone wanted to go home.. So I was alone... I stay so far away at the end of the world... (hey next to Putrajaya does feel that far okay...) If I were to go home, I would not bother to come out again just to attend a birthday celebration all the way at The Curve... I would be insane... So I just started asking around whether anybody would not go home and just go straight..we could have dinner first or something.. everyone with one reason or another all said they still wanted to go home.. So I was really left alone...
I seriously considered going home... but to a certain extent, I suppose I felt that I should 'give face' and go for the celebration...
Anyway... all this just made me think.. how many frens do I have? I mean really true frens... and how many of those that I personally considered a fren also sees me as a fren... Why am I suddenly thinking of this? Well, it's just that if I had a fren in my situation, I would accompany her... even if my earlier plans was to go home.. I would not desert a fren just like that.. I am not saying that all my colleagues/frens are heartless but it is just how I would treat a fren... but then again.. it comes back to the question on whether you consider colleagues frens or not? In my books, they are also my frens... some closer than others but all my frens... With that said however, I also know of certain ppl who draw a very clear line between colleagues and frens.. albeit they still go out and mixed around with their colleagues but they will only ever be considered colleagues and nothing more...
Another fren of mine told me to just go jalan-jalan the shopping mall myself or watch a movie myself... Jalan-jalan myself I have done but also with purpose.. I dont go walking around a shopping mall alone without a purpose.. it is always that I want to buy something or rather.... but watching a movie I have not... Dont know why but I just cant bring myself to doing it.. it just seems like a very lonely thing to do.. watch a movie by myself, laugh by myself, cry by myself... the thought of it makes me sad... There is 1 main thing that I try to avoid doing myself...
Eating... if I had to eat alone, I rather take it to go and either eat it in the car or go home and eat or something... I just dun like the feeling of sitting at a table all by myself in a public area and having my meal... I feel self concious... :( I suppose watching movie is a bit like that.. might as well go home and watch tv by myself...
As I dwell into this loneliness even more... I realized there are just days where it hits me that I am lonely... with so many frens around me, I am still lonely to a certain extent... I am very much a people person.. I like having company... I like ppl around me... I just dont do well all by myself.. I will start thinking of nonsense which is a bad habit... but then I also realized that though I try to surround myself with people I dont have many that I can truly count on... maybe a handful at most... or maybe 2 handfuls if you wanna push it... Hmm... I am sounding pathetic huh? How sad but true... But then again i should look at things half cup full... I am grateful to have those couple of handfuls of frens which I can truly depend on... :) Unfortunately they are all far and wide at this moment... not all but most... So once again, it is back to being alone... Now how did i manage to get myself into such a sad state... only God knows... My gosh!! this posting is getting a bit too personal... good thing not many ppl read it and those who do mostly are those handful of frens... :) It is nice to know I have you guys...
It's just not a nice feeling that I am having now... I am just down... the only saving grace about me is that I cheer up quite quickly too... plus I have one fren who is on msn with me now... though he isnt around to cheer me up but he is still nice enough to keep me company while I wait... Thank you... :) hehe!! so nice of you though it should be time for bed soon for you right?
Of course not forgetting that I did finally find a colleague who is staying back as well... Wait...!! This posting was not all a piece of crap... this colleague is a new girl who just so happen to feel that if she went home she wont come back out as well... I hardly know her yet so at this point I dont see her as the fren in need kinda thingy... but it is still nice to have someone...
Okay... I am wrapping up this posting... better not pour anymore of my feelings into it... I am really beginning to sound like a real sad case...

Ideas Anyone?

I am in a predicament... My company's annual dinner is coming up and the theme is Cross Dressing... At first when I heard the theme I was thinking oh it was going to be simple for the girls and tough for the guys... but then after much consideration I think it is easier for a guy to cross dress than a girl... reason being all they need to do is to put on a skirt and automatically they will look the part... but then for girls.. I think putting on pants on definitely not enough right? Then how?
Of course I would prefer to look 'yau yeng' la... hehe!! but I cant seem to figure out what it is that I should wear... Easiest for me is to wear my dad's army clothes la.. But I am missing the boot.. plus when I told my sis she said, girls also in the army ma.. So I need some other ideas as well.. something which would make me look interestingly male.. hehe!! but not disgusting.. So dont ask me to wear Ah Pek singlet, boxer short and selipar Jepun ya... haha!! and pretend to scratch my crotch ever so often.... actually that would be a funny look... but I would like to look good if possible ma..
So whoever who has a bright idea... please feel free to suggest...!! hehe!!
Btw, anyone know how to make up so as to make me look as if I have some stubbles from not shaving? hehe!! Need to look realistic ma... :D

Paintball!!!!!

Went for a paintball session last weekend... Joined my sister and her colleagues for a game of shoot Yew Khuay(my sister's colleague who became the target of the day...)... haha!!
It has been such a long time since I have last played paintball... The last session must have been a somewhere last year with my colleagues... Remember shooting my boss right in the face... Oops... haha!!
This time round we went to TT Sports Park in Subang for our game... they are supposedly the cheapest... By the end of the game I would agree... We only had 11 ppl and the bill only came up to RM73 per person... I paid also RM150 the last time for the same duration and amount of games.... (that was in Sunway Extreme Park)...
But then cheap does have its cons though I doubt the cons was due to the price.. just the games that they offer... I used to play 'Capture the Flag' or 'Capture the Base' which essentially forces you to move forward but over at this Park... they just played a game of tag.. well similar la... Just 2 teams shooting each other until one side is totally eliminated... Takes the excitement out of the game coz 'Some Ppl' just stood there at the last bunker and refuse to budge... and they just start shooting... The bunker was so far that if you were at the opposite end of the field.. the markers wouldnt even reach... Cheh!! and then start to think that they are so experienced and so good at the game hence they always win... Cheh!! A bunch of crap... If I were not to move the whole time I would also avoid be shot la... Cheh!!! Where is the spirit of the game... the challenge of charging ahead... All gone... I repeat myself again... Cheh!!!!! :P No sportmanship whatsoever...
But anyway... it's just a game... Which everyone was targetting Yew Khuay... him and his big mouth... haha!! Too bad... farnie fella.... Shot me 3 times though... As if one not enough... :( Marshall already say... shoot once and if hit you are out.. lousy fella shot me 3 times... he said he wasnt sure whether I got shot or not... so Shoot a a few more times... haai... Now my thigh got blue black... Sniff Sniff... but then again I kinda asked for it la... I accidentally shot him at close range until his skin peeled... Oops...but overall it was fun!! hehe!! Vegetable oil tastes bad.. Yuckies!! (that is what is in the paintballs... vegetable oil with colouring...)

Daily Journal of 20 Lilies...

These few days I have been greeted by an aroma of lilies the moment I step through my door and into my house.... and everytime I take a look at it, it gives me a new surprise.... Let me give you a chronological review of it's coming of age... hehe!!

Day One....
All were shy buds... Only one was peeking open....

Day Two...
One has fully bloomed leaving 19 more to go....

Day Three...
All of a sudden 11 was already blooming... this is where the aroma of lilies really kicked in...

Day Four.....
Woke up and 3 more decided to open up and say hi....
By the time I got home in the evening, another 3 said hi too!!

Day Five....
All 20 in full bloom.... Arent they just beautiful.... hehe!! I tot maybe one might be too shy to come out and play but in the end it did... hehe!!

So now there are 20 fully bloomed lilies in my living room... But the olders ones are weakening... How sad.... hopefully they will last til Saturday... then they would have lasted for a full week... hehe!! Keep on blooming lilies!!! I am rooting for you!!

Another unexpected gift.... A bracelet.... (sorry picture not clear... no skill ler...)

Okay... this is kinda out of context but we bought this while shopping on Saturday and I just wanted to show it... Ai Li bought the bracelet for me and vice versa me for her... a be-early Christmas gift.... hehe!!

Now this is what's so special about this bracelet... It is a charm bracelet and mummy bought us a each charm to start off with... I chose a flying pig... isnt he cute!! according to the lady at the shop... it is suppose to bring me luck when I rub it's bottom 3 times... so cute!! hehe!!

Okie... those were my gifts for the year... I like them all so so so much... thank you everyone who got them for me.. I know there is still one more to come... she hasnt gotten around me meeting me yet..but I will add that into this post once I get it...hehe!! You guys are all great!!!
