Ai Chin the "Oracle"

It was a very non-eventful weekend this time round... :( Next weekend might be interesting if I am hardworking enough; so try and keep me motivated...

So anyway... I didnt do much this weekend except challenge "Paul the Octopus" and "Mani the Parakeet" for the results of the world cup finals results...

I predicted Spain to win but with a tie at 90 mins... and lo behold... that was the exact results... the score was 0-0 until spain scored in the extra time... Me is good...*beams with pride* hahah!!

Before you say that I am bluffing, here is a picture of my Whatsapp which I was msg-ing my friend... Notice the time stamp at 7.32PM on July 10th...

It is my fate to be able to predict for others to bet but not myself... haih... So far my predictions have ran true except for the 2 games of which I betted with my own money (albeit only RM5) and my predictions went down the drain... So it is proven, I cannot use my predictions for my own gains no matter how small the winnings are... I will just lose... but if I predict for others, then I might win...

So does that make me more accurate than the Octopus and the Parakeet? I dont just predict the winner, I predict how they will win as well... muahahaha!! Or maybe it's a fluke...no ones knows for sure...

The Soju myth...

If you are a fan of korean movies or have just seen one passingly I am sure you would have noticed a scene where they ate and drank Soju (usually followed by a drunk scene). They would pour a pec of soju into a small glass and down it as a shot... then they would crinkle their face and let out a sorta sigh... One would imagine that must be some potent stuff right?

So I got curious.... I decided that since I was having some Korean a few nites back, I might as well re-enact the infamous scene... haha!! I even convinced my fren to down the shot like in the movies... So Kan Pai!!!!
The outcome of it was unfortunately quite disappointing... It wasnt potent at all... I mean the achohol level was 19.5% so it wasnt really high... but there was no sharp piercing feeling when you down it at one shot!! None at all!!! Even a normal vodka, tequila or whisky was a better kick... this just went smoothly down... So now I know what those actors were doing in the movies.. "Acting lor".... Haha!! I got conned... but I would recommend this drink to anyone who wants to have a go...It's quite nice to drink... :)

Interesting Findings...

I finally downloaded the pictures from my phone so I am blogging the more interesting ones.... :)

Saw this parking spots at Cineleisure... yes yes.. I know they have been there for quite some time... Just think it is quite thoughtful of the management to allocate the parkings near the escalators for ladies driving alone... But then again... another thought crossed my mind... What happens if a male choses to ignore the painted sign and still park there? Will the management say "Off with their b**** and p****"? yikes... ouch!! hehe!!

Another interesting sign I saw was this sign below. It was stuck to the window of a car which was double parked in front of my office...

Now isnt this cute... haha!! considerate fella but farnie too!! I mean it was nice that he gave his number and told us where he was... but the offer to reimburse just tickles me... do you just call him and then tell him it's RM0.60 please if they are on Hotlink... or RM0.10 please if they are on U-Mobile coz they are per second charge instead of per minute charge? hehe!! funny... so cute!!

Now the next picture is daunting... it marks the end of my social life and the beginning of a life filled with highlighters and post it notes....

Hee Hee Hee... this is a picture of my classmate's textbook right before exams... Doesnt it look impressive.. so well marked... haha!! For that subject I was still at my cold start mode but the next subject my book looked exactly like that too!! hehe!!

I have been coming across quite a few interesting things lately... just have not had the time to blog it all out... Went to Bangkok recently for work and saw this at one of the factory...


Isnt it cute? hahaha!! It truly despicts how u look when u really gotta go... haha!! the boy is cuter than the girl though.... :)

Talk about torque!!

Finally... My neglectful self have finally found some time to make a posting on my blog... haha!!

I remembered saying I wanted to show you something quirky which I found.... Well here it is.... tadaa....

Can you guess what is that staff looking thing in his hands? I was so surprised when I saw it I immediately ran over and asked.... and lo behold... it is a Torque Wrench!!! yup... that huge 5 feet tall thingy is a torque wrench... those images of one feet long wrenches just flew out the window... haha!! Guess what is the torque setting on that babe.... It is 50kg.m!!! Yikes!!! Almost the weight of me.... (oops...did I just reveal my weight?) haha!!!
When I found out what it was for and why they needed it I immediately asked whether I could play with it... haha!! typical me... so they obliged me... brought me over to a truck... stuck the wrench on one of the wheel bolts and asked me to pull...
I pulled... and pulled... and pulled... till my face went purple (well not literally)... and the thing just refused to budge... then the guy just took over and pulled... and it turned... hey!!! unfair... I loosened it for him... haha!! yeah right... who am I kidding right? But still... it sure was fun!!! :)

Monster? Alien?

This car has been my neighbour for quite some time now but I have never gotten around to snapping some pics of it til now..... It has been in this condition for more than half a year now I think... there has been changes over changes over changes... each time it looked 'out of this world'... haha!!

It announces it's arrival home with this thundering noise and blinking blue lights from underneath it.... so Ah Beng... haha!!

I think the person who thought of this is smart... an advert which catches ppl's attention irregardless whether they were looking or interested is a sign of a good advert... ;)

Fish Spa anyone????

Read about this place in the Sunday papers about a week or so ago... Ai Li had a go... so this time around... since we had nothing to do during the CNY holidays... Ai Li, Ai May, my mum and I decided to give it a try as well.... The place was on the 5th floor of Pavilion....

Looks seemingly innocent enough....

The very much talked about fish spa....

Okay... now we have had the preview.... let me explain a little about the fish spa treatment itself... Well the fishes used are Garra Rufa fishes which are imported from Turkey... they are known as 'Doctor Fish' to some... It's like a sort of exfoliation whereby these little fishes would nibble on the dead/scaly skin on your feet leaving they smooth and soft... It is even said that the micro massage promotes blood circulation and eases proriasis and minor eczema...

For the act itself.... when it came to our turn we were led to a tank facing the window with the city view but after looking into the tank!! My gosh!! the fishies were huge!!! They I looked at the other tank... oh they were much smaller... I chickened out with Ai May and we went for the smaller fishes leaving my mum and Ai Li to the mercy of the large fishes... little did we know.. although smaller... there was much more of them!!! Eeeeekkkss!!!

Eeepps!!! My feet!! My feet!!! the first 5 minutes was torture.... i kept on lifting my feet out of the water every 10 secs or so... I was just squirming in my seat... you can really feel their nibbles... and it just feels ticklish and ewww... at first... but after you got the hang of it, it wasnt so bad....
Ai May's feet must be really dirty andn full of dead skin... the fishes swarmed her feel as if they were starved for a week!!!
Look at the size of that!!! I called this one an 'Ikan Kembung" coz it was literally the size of one... This sucker was permanent on me be it my left or right foot.. it just refused to go to anyone else's feet... dont know why... and when it nibbles... you can REALLY feel it... ewww... I had to sit there for 30 mins enduring his nibbles....

Trying to look as if we are enjoying outselves....

Even real men go for foot spa... haha!! the funny thing was that they were more worried than the women... while the women all stopped squirming after awhile these guys kept their feel constantly close to the surface and kept on lifting it up throughout 30 mins... Tough men huh? hahah!!!

Well for sure, this is definitely not for the faint hearted... but if you are curious, I would recommend you try it out... just for the fun of it... RM38 for a 30 mins session isnt too bad... would I go again? Maybe... would I make it a habit? I think not!!! The sight of the fishes nibbling on you and feeling them between your toes is not something you get used too... haha!!!

Meetings?!!!

Saw another interesting thing a couple of days back.... The thing itself was not interesting coz it was just a calendar.. but the contents caught my eye... haha!! It was a calendar of scheduled meetings...!!! So serious!!! I mean a group of ppl just sat down at the end of the year and plotted out the entire meeting schedule for the next year!! So there will be no excuses of not being informed earlier and that you are busy coz you had a full year to plan... the schedule even dictates the time of the meeting and type of meeting... haha!! Check it out!! All the coloured boxes indicate a meeting....

My Gosh!! So many meetings!!!

Doesnt it look daunting? Imagine the first day you get this sheet and you find out the amount of meetings you have to attend... I would immediate apply for leave... haha!! With so many meetings scheduled, where do you find time to do any actual work... you will be spending your days reporting or explaining bout things you dont know or havent done yet... haha!! the irony of it... so sometimes you really cant blame some managers for being ignorant... but then again I suppose where there is a will there is a way... Coz i spoke to the manager of this company and I asked him where does he find his time? He says he comes in an hour early and leaves 3-4 hours later... just so that he has the time to do his actual work which doesnt revolve around meetings... I salute such dedication... :)

Cute Little Robot!!

I just saw the damnest thing yesterday... This cute little robot which was used to pull or transfer goods from one location to another.... It this small little pink fella who is just battery operated.. albeit a car battery but still battery operated... and I repeat it is PINK!! haha!! okay, so it has another partner in crime that was yellow but still...the one I saw was PINK!! so cute!!

Isnt it cute!! so small!!

But dont be deceived by it's minute size... it is one strong little fella.. it can pull up to 200kg of goods.... all by itself!! It is not remote control operated... it moves using a sensor which senses a silver reflective line on the ground. So basically, it can do all it's work itself effectively cutting down the need for manpower to make the delivery... cool right?!! It is also equipped with proximity sensors which will sense if there is obstruction in it's way and it will stop and start it's caution beeping until the obstruction is removed.. smart little fella.. what more.... it sings a happy tune while it moves... so cute... I cant help myself.. I just think it is so cute... how many happy workers can you find out there that would sing and do their job?
