Christmas Dinner.....

Had an unconventional christmas dinner last year... finally am blogging about it... haha!! I went to Elcerdo... after many ppl telling me bout this place, I finally managed to gather the right amount of ppl to go piggy eating with me...

First up... mini sausages wrapped in bacon served with saurkraut!! Nice!!! This is the yummiest sausages I have tasted... :D (dun mind the picture, flash was too bright!!)

Next up was my ribs... really tasty.. a bit mongolian-like but it would taste much better if there was more meat on it... hehe!!

Now, for the star of the nite!! My suckling piglet!!! it was cut traditionally with a plate which Ai Li so graciously did!! and it was time to tuck in some tasty, crispy piglet!!! OOohhlala!! the skin was so crispy...the meat was tasty... the only complain I had was how much fat was between the two.. but oh well.. it was still a tasty piggy...

We then had seafood paella which to my disappointment really didnt live up to my expectations... No thumbs up for this...:(
After the paella we were still a tad hungry so we ordered additional spicy pork sausages with bacon again.. haha!! this one is also so so yummy... Think anything porkish is good here... haha!!

Finally came deserts... we had the werner's special and some other special.. they were quite interesting desserts... wouldnt say good not bad though but nice enough to finish the meal...
Time to go home with our tummies nicely filled... It was a great christmas dinner this year... Coz for the rare occasions... my entire family including my brother in law was back... Nice!!! :D

I am feeling soooo Bleh!!

Am sitting in my classroom now attending the lectures on Global Marketing... I am so not into it right now... How can a lecturer just go on and on and on.... It took him 2 hours just to run through 16 slides... Aaarrgh!!! I am just so so so not into this class right now... feeling very Bleh!

And guess what?!! He kept on saying we did badly in our Assignment 1... but then he didnt want to tell us exactly.. except for this one girl who is with him right now discussing over her score..and he allowed her to explain and he actually conceded a few points... That is just being biased... It is just not fair... Probably he just put a big Zero when he saw my name on my assignment... Think he doesnt like me... Oh well.....

It seems that this time round... No HD for aichin... :( I swear it is by no fault of mine....

Tak Halal!!!

That was what my colleague mentioned to me when he saw the christmas card... coz within it is my trademark logo... a piggy backside.. had it since I was in highschool... hehe!!

How it got developed? Well, I have always wanted it to be a pig.. but due to my limited artistic skills... I could never for the life of me draw a pig... so I decided, a piggy's backside with a curly tail would do the job nicely.. so it got stuck til now.. It's still cute to me.. so It's here to stay... :)
If you see anything with this logo, you would definitely know it is handmade with plenty of TLC in it from me to you... :D

CHRISTMAS IS COMING....

Tis the season to be jolly.... fa la la la la, la la la la...

Tis is also the season of giving... I just love christmas!!! It's my favourite time of the year... It is just so festive... the malls are all decorated.. everything is lit brightly... then there's present!! :) It's all just really really nice..

As usual, it is the time of the year for me to play Santarina... :)
First up!!! Isuzu Malaysia...

Every year everyone in the office gets a little something from me... First year it was candy canes, Second year it was bell shaped chocolates in an origami box so this year I had something new up my sleeves... First.. cards...

This idea just popped to mind... It just looks like a jagged pattern when u close the card.. but when u open it up it becomes a christmas tree... :D

Next up..! The gift itself... :D Cupcakes!!! yeah... the trial lots I did before... this time round it is the mass production... Chocolate, Lemon and marble cupcakes all topped with chocolate and sprinkled with christmas trees and wreaths... :)
Now that we are all done... time to pack!!! Whoa!! I didnt expect to have so many boxes.. haha!!!
Well, cross you fingers hard and wish... a box might be coming your way!! :)

Birthday Cake...

Once again I was in the baking mode last weekend... It was Uncle's birthday so I decided to bake a cake... Never tried this one before but I must say I did turn out pretty good... the recipe was called Jelly Mouse Cake... sounds simple enough right? It actually consist of 4 parts of preparation... the cake, the mouse, the fruit and jelly setting and the icing around the cake...
It actually took me a day and a half to complete it.... ya..the half was to make the icing so as to ensure the cake looked presentable... :)

Because of the height of the cake which apparently is taller than the average cake, it refuse to fit in the box which I bought... so in the end... the box had to be made as well....

Baking escapades... Cupcakes....

It was another one of those baking weekends... hehe!! This time round, I was having a trial sessions on christmas cupcakes... Wondering which to make and give out...

I made butter cupcakes, chocolate cupcakes and lemon cupcakes... The lemons were my favourite.. sweet with a hint of tangy-ness... yum yum...

Ooohhh.. fresh out of the oven... These cupcakes are perfect for the eating.. too high for the frosting though... so need to reduce for next batch...

My cuties....

Nothing much has happened to me recently so I decided to post my little zoo... hehe!! yeah..i have created a little zoo in my car...

Aren't they just simply adorable? awww.... hehe!! I got the whole family of Pooh babies and a precious tot hyppo.... they just put a smile on my face everytime i look at them.. Perfect when I am stressed bout the traffic... :)

Meanwhile in bed with me now is little Rolly and big Rolly.. hehe!! they are both just so so so cute... Awww.....

In the mood for baking....

This will probably one of a few postings on the cakes I bake.. all of a sudden I have this mood to just bake... I baked this Chocolate Fudge cake for my best friend's birthday... :)
I dont know why but I have a thing for baking and packaging.. everything I do must look good.. haha!! Hope it looks good in other ppl's eyes as well...:)

The story of a Tatty Teddy...

I just felt posting this story because I found it so cute.... one of my favourite stories around... I just like soft toys with stories... :) gives them more of a personality.... I tried loading the flash but wasnt successful so now I am just posting screen shots of the story... :)

Busy Sunday...

I had one of the busiest Sunday of the year last weekend.. it was back to back activities... right after a day of classes and yum cha session I was up bright and early at 0800 to meet up with my classmates for a day at Taman Cahaya Alam, Shah Alam... but of course breakfast is the most important meal of the day rite?


Then we were off...

We were planning to cycle but the queue was so long we gave up and went on to the Go Karting tracks in Shah Alam instead for a day of speed... :)

Then it was off for lunch... went on home to pick my sis up and headed for the Zara/Massimo Dutti warehouse sale... which was so not worth the effort.. nothing great to buy... then hopped over to the MPH warehouse sale... bought a Lonely Planet for my travel plans... :) Then went to catch a movie... "High School Musical 3"... haha!! how camp... but it was quite entertaining...

Phew... you would think that my day has ended but no... I had one more stop to go... Quattro... the new happening place in KL located in Avenue K... They have a cool theme of the 4 seasons... Summer is the Restaurant, Spring is the Lounge, Autumn the Club and Winter the Bar... I went to Autumn and Winter to check it out... was meeting up with some old buddies who used to be part of the Isuzu family... Sonia and Rachel/Nicole...

It was a fun nite.. have not been out clubbing for a really long time... it was just nice to hang out with frens... :) My day ended at 0200 and i only woke up at 1400 the next day... haha!!

A year older and wiser...

Birthday just passed a couple of days ago...

Getting older by the day... haha!! nothing much happened except the usual take leave to lepak around... it's an annual practice.. dont want to be bother with work on my special day... hehe!!

Just wanted to say thank you to my family, friends and colleagues who wished me happy birthday.. evidently facebook is quite useful... haha!! thanks for the wishes, pressies, dinners and cake... :)

It was an uneventful day but nice all the same.. :) now I got a few more toys to add to my collection... Roly is on the bed, Pooh is on the chair and BigFoot is on the rack... :)

Where to Park in Putrajaya?!!!

I had to go to Putrajaya the other day to meet an officer in JPJ... so off I went to where all the government offices were at... As I turned into JPJ to get to the parking, I was told by the guard I could not enter and told me to park outside and walk in... I looked around... Park where? No allocated parking area... and guess where I was told to park?

Along the Yellow Line!!! JPJ!!! Told me to park!! Along the Yellow Line!!! What has our government come to? Tulah... when commission the architect, they say want to follow american government offices... so limited parking spaces.. Even their own staff dont have enough space... but then they forgot that in US, the train system is very good... Subway right to the door step... no need to drive....Train in Putrajaya? Where? Jeez man... how much more stupid can this get? if dont drive then how? Walk? God Forbid!!! and what more? Police just pass and never say a word... how to say? Imagine if they started giving summons... then how? JPJ say park... Polica summon... hmm... how contradictory....

Aside from that, look how far you have to walk under the hot sun... unlike US where the whether is nice and cool..we will get heat stroke if we actually started walking for one office to another...

And the final thing that caught my eye....

So now... it would be nice if there were actually sign pointing towards where this "Park & Ride" was right? How many of us knows Putrajaya well enough to know where is Presinct 1? and then must add "Elakkan Saman!!!" Must be got this not so smart policeman who didn't know that his fellow colleague from JPJ told the ppl to park at the roadside and he went along and summoned them... isk isk isk...

All this is just a joke... it is just one more proof that Malaysian government do not think before they act... They always act then think... and then go "Oops I did it again..." then find some stupid remedy which was not needed in the first place if you took the time to think the project through... haiz....
